bobby and i have known each other since the halcyon days of isla vista. it would be intimidating spending time with a musical genius if he weren't such a down to earth guy and we hadn't shared so many drinks together. so many.

he's taken a break from scoring plays, composing symphonies, and playing the /piano/drums/autoharp/contra-bassoon and throat singing to write, arrange, and sing (in his non-throat style) this gorgeous song. the intro is classic 4 part americana harmony. the second half introduces spanish guitar/cello/vox wrapped up in a way that will give you goosebumps, if you don't just flat out start weeping. it's fleet foxes morphing into grizzly bear. it's the whole forest of woodland creatures.
